Terms of service
Last updated: 15 September 2026. These terms apply to form.dev and the Formo studio ("the service"), operated by Form.dev ("we"). By creating an account or using the service you agree to them.
The service
Formo is a browser studio for drawing, animating and building interactive scenes, with export to open formats. It is currently in beta: features change, and although we work hard to keep your work safe, you should keep exports of anything you cannot afford to lose.
Your account
- You sign in with a Google or GitHub account and are responsible for what happens under it.
- One person per account. If you are under 16 you may use Formo only with the consent of a parent or guardian, or through your school, who accepts these terms on your behalf.
- Tell us if you believe your account has been used by someone else.
Your content
- You own what you make. Everything you draw, animate or import stays yours, including the exports.
- You give us only the licence we need to run the service: to store your projects, show them to you and to the people you share them with, and to process them for export and collaboration. That licence ends when you delete the content.
- You are responsible for having the rights to anything you upload or import — fonts, images, audio, other people's work.
- Projects you publicly share can be viewed by anyone with the link. Unshare them to stop that.
Acceptable use
Do not use the service to store or distribute unlawful content, malware, or material that infringes others' rights; to harass anyone; or to attack, overload or reverse-engineer the service. We may remove content, and suspend or close accounts, that break these rules.
Plans and payment
During the beta the service is free. If paid plans are introduced, their prices and terms will be shown before you subscribe.
Availability and warranty
The service is provided as is. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, that it will be free of errors, or that your data will be retained; we may change, suspend or discontinue features or the whole service at any time. Keep exports of anything you need.
Your responsibility
To the extent permitted by law, you will hold us harmless against claims by third parties that arise from your content or from your use of the service in breach of these terms. If you send us ideas or feedback about the service, we may use them without any obligation to you.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are liable only for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, and for breaches of essential contractual duties limited to the damage typically foreseeable at the time of contracting. Liability for injury to life, body or health, and under mandatory product-liability law, remains unaffected.
Ending the agreement
You can end the agreement at any time by asking us to delete your account; we then remove your data as described in the privacy policy. We may close accounts that violate these terms, and accounts that have been inactive for a long period after a notice to the address on the account.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the current version. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it.
